The cHatter Box is housed in a Quiet Cube, but has added hardware for you to use in the creation of audio and video content. The following pictures will give you a sense of the different features of the cHatter Box.
Monitor
The monitor in the cHatter Box runs the Mac Studio computer mounted below. This is where you will find software to use with the other equipment.
It should be on when you get inside of the cHatter Box.
Keyboard and Mouse
The keyboard and mouse will help you get where you need to go. When you leave, please put the keyboard and mouse back into the orange tray provided.

Speakers
The speaker is clipped on to the lower part of the monitor. This is so that you can hear sound from the computer. Please know that you may need to turn the speakers up or down in order to make sure that sound coming from the speaker is not picked up by the microphones. (An example: the metronome sound from Garage Band will be picked up by the microphone.) The controls are underneath. Please make sure to turn the speakers back up if you have turned them down.

Cameras
There are two Rocware cameras installed on either wall of the cHatter Box. They are already set to face you when you are seated in the cHatter Box. Please don't manually change the location that they are pointing.

Microphones
There are two microphones on extending arms. Please leave these connected to the table, but you can change their positions. The microphones should remain attached to the arms, as well. They are outfitted with pop filters to help keep pops and clicks from your recordings.

Light and Fan Controls
The light and fan controls will help you to lower the tone of the lighting or the sound of an interior fan that blows in the cHatter Box. Use the top control for the fan by clicking in the upper left corner, and then using the dial to turn the fan down. Use the temperature icon to change the tone of the lighting to a warmer or cooler tone for your recording. Use the sun icon to turn the lights up and down. Please put the lights back to the way you found them when you leave the cHatter Box.

Stream Deck
The Stream Deck will allow you to click buttons to start working with a particular software or service. Note that at this time, the Stream Deck is not working for all users.

USB Hub
The USB Hub can be used to connect your flash drive, or a USB-enabled item like a musical keyboard or instrument. It is attached to the wall of the Quiet Cube under the monitor.
