SocINDEX Database: How to use it

To print articles that are available in full text, click on the "access now" icon and look for the PDF icon to open the full article. You can save the PDF as an electronic copy to your desktop or print as a hardcopy, if desired. Refer to the visual aids below. 

When the library does not have access to the full text, you will see an option to request the item. You will need to put in a request for an interlibrary loan to get the article. See last box at the bottom of this page for more information on Interlibrary lending. 

There is no charge for interlibrary loans, and there is no limit on the number of requests you can submit.

NOTE: Allow about two weeks to receive an interlibrary loan.  Many times, items can come in more quickly than two weeks, but you should allow two weeks just to be safe.
