A starting point for research and learning that offers unlimited access to hundreds of full text reference books on every subject. Includes encyclopedias, dictionaries, thesauri and books of quotations.

The State Department's Website has data and statistics on countries and regions of the world, trade policy, free trade agreements, national export initiative information and more.

ABSEES (American Bibliography of Slavic and East European Studies)
ABSEES is an EBSCHOhost database that covers North American scholarship on Eastern Europe, Russia, and the former Soviet Union. It contains bibliographic records for journal articles, books, book chapters, book reviews, dissertations, and selected government publications.
Russian Social Sciences & Humanities Journals
Cross-search the contents of major Russian periodicals on social sciences and humanities. Comprised of all journals of the Russian Academy of Sciences ranging from archeology to linguistics, as well as popular literary editions, and independent scholarly publications.

Press Sources

Russian Newspapers
Comprehensive coverage of national news, current events, economic developments and cultural events in Russia. Also has several English-language newspapers including the Moscow Times.

A collection of thousands of U.S. and global news sources. To see Russian news sources, click on Access World News --> A-Z Source List, search for Russia. Then check the box next to the publications you'd like to search and hit "Search within these selections."
