Search Alerts

How to set up a database search and have the results emailed to you at regular intervals.

Search Alerts and Saved Searches

Set up an alert

  • Look for Personal Accounts on right-hand side of Welcome screen. You can register for a new account or login to an existing account there.
  • After executing a search, click on Set Up an Alert or Save this Search (both near top of the page).  Note that does allow for setting up RSS feeds.
  • If you have chosen to set up an alert, choose the email options you want and click on Begin Alert.

Delete (or edit) an alert or a saved search

  • Login to the Personal Accounts.
  • Click on any category of newspapers under Access World News; then click on Email Alerts or Saved Searches (upper right-hand corner of the screen).
  • Then click delete (or edit) next to the alert(s) you wish to delete (or edit).

NewsBank - Set Up an Alert or Save a Search

After executing a search, click on Set Up an Alert or Save this Search (both near top of the page).  Note that NewsBank does not allow for setting up RSS feeds.

 

 

If you have chosen to set up an alert, choose the options you want and click on Begin Alert.

 

 
 
If you have chosen to save the search, click on Save This Search.  Once you click on Save this Search, you will see all of your saved searches.  Simply click on one of them to re-launch it.
 

NewsBank - Delete an Alert or Saved Search

To delete (or edit)  an alert or a saved search, login to Personal Accounts.

  • Click on any category of newspapers under Access World News; then click on Email Alerts or Saved Searches (upper right-hand corner of the screen)
  • Then click delete (or edit) next to the alert(s) you wish to delete (or edit).
