How to get to the full text of articles and books

Full Text

When you search a library database, you'll likely find a combination of content that the library has electronically, content that the library has in print, and citations for content that we do not have. When you are searching the web for scholarly content, you'll likely find a combination of content that is free and content that is behind a paywall.

Use the following resources to determine if the library has a particular source and get access if we do not.

Accessing Full Text

Double-check whether the library has the source you need. Use the Journals List for journals and OneSearch for books.

Use Interlibrary Loan to request access to articles or books that the library does not have.

Do you need the article right away? Use the following tools to find out if a free version of the source you need is available online. Note that these may often be pre-prints and not the final version of an article as it was published in the journal.
