Another option is to select the Advanced Search screen.

  • The Search Index allows you to tell the catalog whether you want to find items that list your Search Term as a keyword, subject, author, title, or something else.
  • If you'd like to search for multiple Search Terms at once, enter each one into a different Search Term box. If you need more boxes, click on Add row.
  • Use the Operator drop-down box to define the relationship between each of your Search Terms. The 3 operators are: AND, OR, NOT. Use AND to tell the catalog that you'd like to find items that contain both of your Search Terms. Use OR to tell it that you'd like to find all items that contain either of your Search Terms. Use NOT if you don't want to see items that contain a specific Search Term.
  • Click on Search Tools to get filters such as format, year, language, and more.

Use the Library's Journals List to search a specific journal or newspaper

From the Library's home page (www.stetson.edu/library) select the link to the Journals List to search a specific journal or newspaper. The library has electronic access to over 12,000 business journals that cover all areas of business operations (labor, management, investments, marketing, accounting, taxation) and industries (textiles, fashion, food, beverage, computers, manufacturing, retail trade, insurance, real estate and more).

The Journals List provides the library's holdings for the journal title entered. Some titles will be available in various formats (print, microform, and/or electronically in one or more of the library's databases). Print journals (2011-present) are located on the main floor arranged alphabetically by title. Print journals published before 2009 are located on the ground floor arranged alphabetically by title.

To search a journal title in a database, click on the journal title that corresponds to the dates of coverage needed. In cases where a journal is only available in microform (microfiche or microfilm) ask at the front desk for assistance.
