Finding Music Scores

Finding printed scores (printed music) in the Library, finding digital scores, and borrowing scores from other libraries.

Scores defined

Score in a library setting refers to printed music. Most online vendors refer to all printed music as sheet music. In a library sheet music refers only to loose, unbound music, which duPont-Ball Library does not have.

1. Search for scores using OneSearch.

The easiest way to find scores in our library is to begin with OneSearch. 

Click on the Scores icon, enter keywords, then choose Stetson from the pull down, and click the search icon.

NOTE THE RESULTS USING LIMITS ''SCORE' ABOVE THE SEARCH BOX AND CHOOSING 'STETSON' INSTEAD OF 'LIBRARIES WORLDWIDE'

3. Choose from list of results -- note availability, location, and call number.

The results list shows the for title, author(s), the item's status (available or checked out), the location (Shelves or Miniature Scores or Chamber Music) and the call number. Click the title to get more details about the item.

4. Detailed description of score

To see more works with the same combination fo instruments, click on the Subjects link Flute and piano music Scores and parts. That starts a new search, so you may need to limit results under Library to Stetson.
