Linking to licensed articles, eBooks, and streaming media

Information about finding permanent links to articles, eBooks, and streaming media in the library's licensed databases to add to your course in Canvas.

Welcome

Copying and pasting a URL from the address bar in your browser does not work all the time depending on the database. Instead look for the option to send a link or for a permalink.

Links need to include proxy information to work from off campus. A link that begins with https://stetson.idm.oclc.org/login?url= will provide access from off-campus. However, depending on the database, a permanent link may have some of the proxy information included in a different part of the URL.

OneSearch Links

One of the easiest ways to provide a link is to use the link in OneSearch. The link will bring a user to the OneSearch record for the item and the user will need to click on a link to get to the full text. Off-campus access is built into OneSearch.
