Art collections in the Library

The Library has an extensive collection of art books in hardcopy and e-book editions, as well as a number of videos on art and allied subjects.  More than 10,000 hardcopy art books are shelved on the main floor, north side of the Library.  The call number range for this collection is N1 A387--NX 1520.  More than 3,000 art-related e-books are listed in the Library's Catalog.


Selected subject headings for Art

To locate hardcopy and e-books about art, go the Library Catalog from the Library's homepage.  Click on Advanced Search.  Enter the name of the artist in the Subject box.  For broader subjects in Art, here are some Subject headings which will be useful in searching the Catalog:

E-Reference Books and E-books

The Library's collection of full-text electronic e-books and e-reference books includes thousands of titles, with many added during the year.  To locate e-reference books in Art, go to the Library homepage, click on Catalog, Advanced Search, and enter a subject or keyword term.  Under Type, enable EBOOKREF.  Follow the same procedure and enable--under Type--EBOOK  to locate additional e-books in Art.
