This article from the Library of Congress compiles multiple resources helpful to understanding the context of the Russian invasion of Ukraine. Included are links to maps (historical and current), seminars, economic information, legal and governmental documents, biographies of notable Ukrainians, literary works, and more.

Stetson University faculty shared their expertise and lived experiences in Ukraine and Russia during a webinar, entitled “Understanding the War in Ukraine: Context and Impact,” on March 7, 2022 about Russia’s war and aggression against Ukraine.

This interactive map, which compliments the Institute for the Study of War's (ISW) daily updates and static maps, is maintained with help from the American Enterprise Institute's (AEI) Critical Threats Project. It includes a daily updated assessment of the control of terrain in the region, as well as a 3D map for examining battlefield topography.

This interactive map provides updated information on the loss of cultural monuments, objects, and institutions as consequences of the current conflict.

The Ukrainecast webcast, platformed by BBC Sounds, covers all aspects of "the war in Ukraine and its fallout," including political news, conflict updates, and more.

This resource, provided by the ACLED, provides near real-time information on the ongoing war, including an interactive map of the latest data from the start of Russia’s invasion, a curated data file, and weekly situation updates. It is designed to help researchers, policymakers, media, and the wider public track key conflict developments in Ukraine. It is released every Wednesday, with data covering events from Saturday to Friday of the preceding week and providing updates to past events as new or better information becomes available.

This webpage is hosted by the Institute for the Study of War (ISW) and compiles almost daily conflict updates and reports on the Russian-Ukrainian conflict in one spot.

United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR) tracks, records, and analyzes Ukrainian refugee data via their Operational Data Portal. Data is updated monthly (mid-month). Statistics are compiled mainly from data provided by authorities. For statistical purposes, UNHCR uses the term refugees generically, referring to all individuals having left Ukraine due to the war. UNHCR’s means of verification and level of access to refugees from Ukraine varies by country. While every effort has been made to ensure all statistical information is verified, figures represent an estimate, and potential further movements cannot be factored for the time being for all countries.

The Center for Civil Liberties (CCL), a Ukrainian organization, was created in 2007 "promote human rights values," democracy, and "solidarity in Ukraine and the OSCE region." They also advocate for "the restoration of justice for all victims of war crimes."

The OECD-Ukraine Country Programme represents a four-year partnership between the OECD (Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development) and the Government of Ukraine, which was launched in June 2023 "to support Ukraine’s reform, recovery, and reconstruction and help it advance its EU and OECD accession ambitions." The organization works closely with "policy makers, stakeholders and citizens to establish evidence-based international standards and to find solutions to social, economic and environmental challenges."

Saving Ukrainian Cultural Heritage Online (SUCHO) was created in 2022 "to digitize and preserve Ukrainian cultural heritage." 1,500 volunteers have collaborated to archive "more than 5,000 websites and 50TB of data of Ukrainian cultural institutions." Collections include a cultural heritage gallery and a wartime meme wall.
