SHAPE America – Society of Health and Physical Educators (formerly AAHPERD) is the largest organization of professionals involved in physical education. It serves as the voice for 200,000+ health and physical education professionals across the United States. The organization’s extensive community includes a diverse membership of health and physical educators, as well as advocates, supporters, and 50+ state affiliate organizations.

SMA's mission is to meet the need for an academic organization with a focus on sport marketing. It promotes professional interaction among practitioners, academicians and students all over the world.

The purpose of the Association is to promote scholarly and applied research in the sport industry with particular emphasis on the global nature of the business of sport and issues associated with minority leadership in sport management.

CoSIDA (College Sports Information Directors of America) was founded in 1957 and is a 3,100+ member national organization comprised of the sports public relations, media relations and communications/information professionals throughout all levels of collegiate athletics in the United States and Canada.
