Mental Measurements Yearbook with Tests in Print: How to use it

Mental Measurements Yearbook or MMY contains the most recent descriptive information and critical reviews of new and revised tests.

Search screen

  • The search screen below shows the results of a search for a review of the Minnesota Multiphasic Personality Inventory test. The test acronym mmpi is entered in the search box at the top (notice upper/lower case does not matter) and AC Acronym is selected in the adjacent drop-down menu.
  • Results are listed in descending order, so the most current reviews will appear at the top of the result list.
  • You can also search for a test by its name (e.g., Minnesota Multiphasic Personality Inventory), by author (e.g., James N. Butcher), or by publisher (e.g., University of Minnesota). You may limit searches by test category (e.g., achievement, behavior assessment, personality), by type of administration (e.g., group or individual), by publication date, or by whether or not it has reviews.

Other ways to search

  • There are many additional fields that may be selected from the search box's drop-down menu.  You can search the purpose field, using keywords, to find tests designed to measure a specific ability, for example. You can also search for tests designed for specific population groups.
  • The screen shot below shows a detailed record from the result list of a search for personality tests. The purpose field was selected from the drop-down menu. Notice the Tools menu outlined in red below. Records from your results lists may be selected and added to a temporary folder. You can also create your own EbscoHost personal account to save detailed records for use in later sessions. To create a personal EbscoHost account click on "Sign In" located in the blue task bar at the top of the screen.

  • Item number 3. for the results list "Comprehensive Personality Profile"  has been selected. Below is a screenshot of its detailed record. The "Tools" menu is available to print, email, or save this record to a folder for use in later sessions.
