Connecting to the Stetson Network
You must be connected to Stetson's Wi-Fi Network in order to access an e-book from the Library's ebrary collection. To connect your ipad device to Stetson's Wi-Fi network tap the Settings icon, open Wi-Fi and choose Stetson Administration.
Remote access is available. If you are working from an off-campus location you will need to follow the Off-Campus Database Access instructions below:
Step 1: Create your ebrary account
The Library's ebrary book collection contains nearly 100,000 books. The ebrary database allows you to search and download the contents of e-books in the collection. Selections, chapters and/or page number ranges may also be downloaded and saved to an ebrary account that you create for this purpose.
To create your ebrary account you will need to access ebrary from the Library's homepage and follow the instructions below.
Step 2: Create your Adobe ID
In order to download an entire book from the ebrary database Adobe Digital Editions is required. To create an Adobe ID click on the link provided below. If you don't already have an account, click on "Don't have an Adobe ID?" and fill in all the required fields (*) then click "OK" (Using your Stetson e-mail address to create your Adobe ID is recommended. Remember to make a note of the password, your Adobe ID will be needed later to authorize your ipad when you initially download the ebrary app. The authorizing of your ipad is a one-time procedure.
Step 3: Install the ebrary app
Using your ipad device, tap the "App Store" icon and search for the ebrary app. Install the ebrary app (using your Apple account) and tap to open it. Next, you'll be prompted for your personal ebrary account username and password. The first time signing in to the ebrary app you'll be prompted for your Adobe ID, see Step 4.
Step 4: Authorize your ipad
The first time signing in to the ebrary app you'll be prompted for your Adobe ID. This will only be a one-time operation required to authorize your ipad device.
