LexisNexis Academic: How to Search It

This guide is prepared for Stetson students. It explains how to access and use the Library's LexisNexis proprietary database.

Company Information

  • The "Companies" sub-tabs open to the company search form (pictured below). The company search form enables you to search for a company by name, ticker symbol, or D-U-N-S® number. You can also restrict your search by company type, city, state/province or country. From this form, you can find information including headquarters locations, SEC filings, and executive hierarchies. The "Company Dossier" contains information on 43 million companies.
  • Using the tabs at the top of the screen, you can search for company executives, industry profiles, create lists of companies operating in a line of business, and create side-by-side comparisons of company financials (balance sheets and income statements) for up to five publicly traded US companies.
